Windows 8.1 and AMD Radeon™ Graphics

The AMD Radeon™ R9 200 Series, R7 200 Series and AMD Radeon™ HD 7000/HD 7000M/HD 8000M Series graphics hardware is built to support two key technologies: the DirectX® 11.2 API and a new way of designing GPU drivers called “Windows Display Driver Model 1.3” (WDDM 1.3). Together, these technologies enable a range of new features for Windows 8.1 and supporting software.

Other products from AMD, including all Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) and AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series GPUs, are also certified for the features provided by WDDM 1.3.

  • AMD Eyefinity technology
  • OpenCL™
  • OpenGL
  • UVD
  • AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics/AMD CrossFire™ Technology
